They are alsoheld on Saturday mornings and afternoons. All Surveying classes areconducted at the Delaware Campus.Job Description:The department invites applicants to teach various Surveyingcourses. Faculty may be needed to teach outside, off-campus sitesand to assist with the instruction of distance learning courses.Both day and evening classes are available.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: on-lineinstruction techniques and methods; AutoCAD Civil 3D; TrimbleBusiness Center; Microsoft Office; Blackboard; internet research.Skill In: providing quality instruction (developmental,multicultural, applied learning) and support to a diverse studentbody; learning technologies and use of multi-media technology toenhance student learning; instructional planning and presentation;incorporating critical thinking, effective communication, and othergeneral education outcomes in course content. Ability to: performstudent learning outcomes assessments; demonstrate teachingstrategies that focus on student- centered learning; demonstrate acommitment to improving student learning through innovativestrategies that aid student success and retention and reflectindustry trends; adapt to multi-campus organizational workenvironments as well as changes in the discipline.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering(with Survey Minor), Geomatics, or closely related field orlicensed P.S. or S.I. Certificate. State Motor Vehicle Operator’sLicense or demonstrable ability to gain access to worksite(s).Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Master’sdegree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics or closely related field;Prior teaching experience; Experience using BlackBoard; Priorteaching experience.
