Arraignment scheduled for cold case murder

first_imgPASADENA – Arraignment is scheduled today for a man accused of raping and killing a Pasadena woman in 1987, a crime that police say was solved using DNA evidence. Robert Tillman, 56, was taken into custody earlier this month after “cold case” detectives reopened the investigation. On May 6, 1987, the body of 72-year-old Mary Drew, was found dead in a board-and-care home where she lived in the 1100 block of N. Los Robles Avenue in Pasadena, Dewar said. Police said Tillman was considered a suspect at the time, but detectives had insufficient evidence to file charges against him. Tillman was eventually released and the case lay dormant for 19 years. 165Let’s talk business.Catch up on the business news closest to you with our daily newsletter. Something went wrong.
