first_img The Charities Special Interest Group at the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has published a free guide for charities on “Embedding risk management at a time of need”.The publication includes an article on ‘The small charity guide to managing risk’ and a case study on ‘Embedding risk management in The Prince’s Trust’. They are accompanied by feedback from the sessions at the group’s event when the articles were presented to members.Oliver Boyle, who chairs the IRM’s Charities group, said: “The Institute’s membership contains a wealth of risk management experience that we believe charities should be able to tap into. The aim of the special interest group is to make this possible. Risk will vary from charity to charity and the current economic climate will contribute to the pressure on charities to understand and manage their particular situation as carefully as possible”.
