PROTESTORS HOPE GOVERNMENT U-TURN WON’T DAMPEN SATURDAY’S DONEGAL WATER PROTESTS

first_imgANTI-Irish Water protestors take to the streets of Donegal again tomorrow – not knowing just yet how forced Government u-turn has affected the appetite for further widespread protests. There will be protests on Saturday afternoon in Letterkenny, Carndonagh, Ballybofey Castlefinn and Gaoth Dobhair.“We are giving the people of Donegal the opportunity to send a clear and unequivocal message to the Government that we want water charges abolished now,” said Cllr Gary Doherty from Donegal Right2Water. Doherty has been leading protests against water meter installations in east Donegal in recent weeks. The protest locations are designed to maximise the number of people coming out onto the streets – ahead of another ‘mass rally’  in Dublin next month. PROTESTORS HOPE GOVERNMENT U-TURN WON’T DAMPEN SATURDAY’S DONEGAL WATER PROTESTS was last modified: November 28th, 2014 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:donegalIrish Waterprotestslast_img read more
